Anti-Gay Politicians Still Flourishing in Some States

South Carolina's Lt. Governor -- and the man who would become governor if philandering Gov. Sanford is forced to resign -- has gotten much mileage out of his anti-gay positions (er, let's rephrase that: anti-gay political positions). He's also the target of an activist who claims to have heard from numerous sources that claim the lt. governor is himself gay.

Oh, wait, there's more.

The Republican candidate for governor of Virginia is under fire over his previously stated views on working women (not thrilled with the idea), gays (not thrilled with the idea), and contraception for unmarried people (not thrilled with the idea). But why is anyone surprised? He's a graduate of ultra-conservative Regent University, the school founded by televangelist Pat Robertson.

So there's still some fuel in that gay-bashing gas tank on the Right.
